The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) applauds the meeting between the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar S.C. M.P., and the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Her Excellency Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, held on September 23, 2026, in New York on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
AMCHAM T&T is encouraged by both leaders’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through dialogue, cooperation, and good neighbourliness. We see particular value in the breadth of the agreed areas for cooperation, which include trade, energy, security, disaster risk management, environmental protection, agriculture, tourism, air connectivity and culture. Together, these areas provide opportunities to deepen economic ties, strengthen resilience, and create greater scope for business and investment between the two countries.
