AMCHAM T&T’s ARISE Sub Committee hosted an engaging Business Continuity Workshop as part of its 28th Annual Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Conference and Exhibition. The session brought together approximately 40 participants from across the public and private sectors for an insightful look into strengthening organizational resilience in the face of emergencies.
Led by Marise Johncilla, Principal Consultant at The Serenon Group Limited, and Adrian Barran, Head of Crisis Management & Emergency Response at The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC), the workshop explored key topics in emergency preparedness and risk mitigation.
The session delved into core components of business continuity and emergency response. Participants gained practical insights into how these factors contribute to incidents and how organizations can proactively address them through planning, training, and culture change.
This workshop served as an important reminder that continuity planning and effective emergency response are not just checkboxes, but essential elements of sustainable business operations.
As Trinidad and Tobago continues to face a complex and evolving risk landscape, AMCHAM T&T remains committed to fostering dialogue and knowledge-sharing that supports national development, workplace safety, and business resilience.
